Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and creating show puppets. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the entertainment industry. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 when she starred in a TV commercial featuring Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It Up and It's Breaks at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1200 auditioning children to play the oldest of three double-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick almost lost her virginity on stage of the show during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five on the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. The incident would have happened, she says. However, the timing for our marriage was not right.
